I been looking for some help with citrix license issues and user profiles on the web for weeks now ... but anyways i was able to get some help from citrix on error " not able to reach the license server" blah blah...
it could be any number of reasons behind that...
"Event ID 9018 MetaFrame Presentation Server cannot contact the license server"
first find where your license server is and try these commands.
lmpath -status (no errors.)
lmpstat -a (output error file cannot be found.)
net stop citrixlicensing
(ok)
lmpath -add CITRIX "path to lic file" (find where your myfiles folder is it will have the .lic files)
net start citrixlicensing ok
lmstat -a now good.
MyFiles folder with over 6 lic files, more than needed.
check the file lmgrd_debug.log you may find error msg as below.
(CITRIX) DENIED: "MPS_ENT_CCU"
MPS@XXXXXXX.FQDN.net [95d9e79a:MPSCLIENT] (No such feature exists (-5,341)).
consolidate the license files.
Restart the Citrix Licensing service on the license server.
i am having many number of user profile issues as well citrix says they will not deal with user profiles as it falls under terminal server issues so call microsoft.
i will try to send you guys or post as much as i can ... trust me there's not much on citrix lic or user profile out there... and IMA not starting is just another story which i am very good at fixing now haha...
