Click the thumbtack to "unpin" the file from the list. Then you can go to
Office Button | PPT Options | Advanced and change "show this number of
recent documents" to 0.
I *think* this resets the list, but I don't want to test it here because I
need my current list right now, sorry.
Then close PPT and reopen it and change that number back to whatever you
want.
I hope that will do the trick for you, but I admit I'm not positive.
