Wyse CE Clients Cannot Achieve True 1024x768 Screen Size

When attempting to make an ICA Desktop connection from a Wyse CE device, (in new desktop mode) with the display settings set to 1024x 768, the largest screen size that maybe achieved is 1024x763 (five lines from the client’s start bar).
When connecting to the session with RDP the session’s start bar is not visible. (receive scroll bars)
When connecting with the Full client similar results are achieved – the maximum screen resolution is 1024x711 due to Start bar and Window bar.
Reproduction
• Windows 2003 MetaFrame XP Feature Release 3
• Windows 2003 MetaFrame Presentation Server 3.0
• Wyse 3150 latest build
• 1024x768 client resolution
• Always on top is checked
• Auto hide is unchecked
• Show clock is checked
• Use Windows keys is unchecked
• Use alt+tab key is checked
  • 1. Configure Wyse CE with 1024x768 resolution.
    2. From Control Panel > Desktop > Set new Desktop.
    3. Define the ICA connection and launch the connection.
    4. Monitor session information from the Management Console and the resolution will display 1024x763.
    5. Perform Step 1-4 with a RDP session with same configuration and the session will open at 1024x768, with no access to the session’s start bar, unless the terminal’s start bar is set to auto-hide.
Resolution
The Wyse CE client build updates module.ini files to correct this issue. Contact Wyse for the latest flash of the client to correct this issue.
