Deleting the Program Neighborhood Icon From the Users Desktop
After deleting the Program Neighborhood icon at the desktop, users do not see it anymore until they update the ICA Client. Then the icon appears on the Desktop again and it has to be manually deleted.
In the properties of the application set under the Default Options tab, check Turn off desktop intergration for this application set. This keeps the icon from reappearing when the user refreshes the farm, but it also removes any other icons that you want to have on the desktop. Another workaround is not to publish to the client desktop (leave the check box for Add this application on the clients desktop unchecked) and those who would like an icon on their desktops can drag the icon over to the desktop.
