Summary
This article provides information on determining the version of Presentation Server running on a Windows Server.
Background
For troubleshooting purposes an administrator may be required to check the version of Presentation Server that is running, however the simplest of these is not possible if the IMA Service is not running.
Procedure
If the IMA Service is running:- Open the Presentation Server Management Console.
- Expand the Servers node, and then right-click on the appropriate server and select Properties from the context menu.
- Click Information in the left-pane of the window to see the Product Version and Build Number, Installation Date, and any Feature Releases or Service Packs installed.
If the IMA Service is not running:- Open the Citrix Connection Configuration utility (mfcfg.exe).
- Click Help > About Citrix Connection Configuration. The version and build numbers of Windows and Presentation Server are shown.
If the IMA Service is not running (Alternate, registry-based method):
Caution! This fix requires you to edit the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Make sure you back up the registry before you edit it. If you are running Windows NT, also update your Emergency Repair Disk (ERD).- In the Windows Registry, navigate to:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Citrix
- The following values assist in identifying the version of Presentation Server installed:
