Issue(s) Resolved in this Hotfix
- After applying Hotfix Rollup Pack 3, connection attempts might fail to complete and to launch the session. This happens with clients that use Version 1 of the Thinwire component. By default, Versions 6.00.985 and later of the Presentation Server Client for Windows use Version 2 of the Thinwire component. Other clients that might still be using Version 1 of the Thinwire component include the following: Nokia 92x0 V. 2.01; DOS32 V. 4.21; DOS16 V. 4.0; Solaris X86 V. 3.x; Compaq Tru64 V. 3.x; Sun SunOS 4.14 V. 3.x; SCO UnixWare V. 3.x; Linux ARM V 3.x; EPOC 5.x V. 3.x: Symbian - P800/P900; some versions of WinCE and Linux based Terminals.
[From PSE400R03W2K001][#159983] - Servers might experience a kernel trap (Stop 8e) when accessing vdtw30.dll.
[From PSE400R03W2K008][#159637, #160429] - An application launched from a session on client device A might not become aware of a different default printer after connecting to the same session from client device B. For example, the tool tip for the printer icon on the Microsoft Word toolbar does not display the device B default printer after connecting to the same session from device B.
[From PSE400R03W2K015][#155652] - Print jobs that do not spool completely before a user session is closed might cause the CPSVC.EXE service to terminate unexpectedly.
[From PSE400R03W2K015][#160239] - Autocreated printers created using the legacy naming style might not be deleted when a session is terminated. The issue occurs if the Print Spooler and Citrix Print Manager Service restart while a session is active on the server.
[From PSE400R03W2K015][#163396] - Some images do not appear in instances of Internet Explorer launched from the server console.
[From PSE400R03W2K019][#157226] - With SpeedScreen browser acceleration enabled, some images do not appear in instances of Internet Explorer launched within an ICA session.
[From PSE400R03W2K019][#160547] - Servers might experience a fatal error on vdtw30.dll with bugcheck code 7E.
[From PSE400R03W2K019][#160592] - With SpeedScreen Browser Acceleration enabled, Internet Explorer might exit unexpectedly when viewing Web pages with image content.
[From PSE400R03W2K019][#159789] - Images within a published application might appear as low resolution images. The issue occurs as a result of data loss due to lossy compression, which is the default setting for SpeedScreen Browser Acceleration. This fix changes the default setting to use no lossy compression. To utilize lossy compression, you must specify a lossy compression policy.
[From PSE400R03W2K019][#161634] - With SpeedScreen Browser Acceleration enabled, image content of Web pages might appear blank in Internet Explorer.
[From PSE400R03W2K019][#162137] - Internet Explorer might exit unexpectedly on SpeedScreenFilter.dll.
[From PSE400R03W2K022][#162516] - When Internet Explorer 6 or later is run as a published application and SpeedScreen Browser Acceleration is enabled, transparent GIFs on a Web page might display incorrectly.
[From PSE400R03W2K022][#163950] - You cannot print to printers using the Universal Print Driver in pass-through sessions. Instead, print jobs are queued and then removed without printing and without a warning.
