Where to Find Documentation

This document describes the issue(s) solved by this hotfix and includes installation instructions. For more information, see your product Administrator's Guide located on the product CD or installed on your servers. The guide is in an Adobe Portable Document (PDF) format file. To view, search, and print the documentation, you need Adobe Reader 5.0.5 or later with Search. You can download Adobe Reader for free from the Adobe Web site at http://www.adobe.com.
All product documentation is also available from the Citrix Web site at http://www.citrix.com/support. Issue(s) Resolved in this Hotfix
  1. After applying Hotfix Rollup Pack 3, connection attempts might fail to complete and to launch the session. This happens with clients that use Version 1 of the Thinwire component. By default, Versions 6.00.985 and later of the Presentation Server Client for Windows use Version 2 of the Thinwire component. Other clients that might still be using Version 1 of the Thinwire component include the following: Nokia 92x0 V. 2.01; DOS32 V. 4.21; DOS16 V. 4.0; Solaris X86 V. 3.x; Compaq Tru64 V. 3.x; Sun SunOS 4.14 V. 3.x; SCO UnixWare V. 3.x; Linux ARM V 3.x; EPOC 5.x V. 3.x: Symbian - P800/P900; some versions of WinCE and Linux based Terminals.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3001][#159983]
  2. Some documents created with the data type set to RAW do not print using the universal driver.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3002][#157899]
  3. When printing using the universal printer, the default output settings such as paper size and orientation are fixed. This fix offers a workaround by allowing administrators to set default values for the universal printer. To do this, set the following registry keys as needed:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\Print\UPDDevmod e
    Name: see chart
    Type: REG_DWORD
    Data: see chart

    [From PSE400R03W2K3002][#155984]
  4. Some images do not appear in instances of Internet Explorer launched from the server console.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3010][#157226]
  5. Servers might experience a kernel trap (Stop 8e) when accessing vdtw30.dll.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3020][#159637, 160429]
  6. An application launched from a session on client device A might not become aware of a different default printer after connecting to the same session from client device B. For example, the tool tip for the printer icon on the Microsoft Word toolbar does not display the device B default printer after connecting to the same session from device B.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3026][#155652]
  7. With SpeedScreen browser acceleration enabled, some images do not appear in instances of Internet Explorer launched within an ICA session.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3038][#160547]
  8. Servers might experience a fatal error on vdtw30.dll with bugcheck code 7E.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3039][#160592]
  9. This is the server-side component of a feature enhancement that allows you to disable the print preview when using the Citrix Universal Printer as the default printer. To get the full feature enhancement, you must also install a client hotfix that includes Fix #159404.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3052][#159404]
  10. Print jobs that do not spool completely before a user session is closed might cause the CPSVC.EXE service to terminate unexpectedly.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3052][#160239]
  11. Autocreated printers created using the legacy naming style might not be deleted when a session is terminated. The issue occurs if the Print Spooler and Citrix Print Manager Service restart while a session is active on the server.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3052][#163396]
  12. With SpeedScreen Browser Acceleration enabled, Internet Explorer might exit unexpectedly when viewing Web pages with image content.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3059][#159789]
  13. This functionality change modifies the default compression used for ThinWire2 clients. By default, low lossy compression is utilized unless an overridingpolicy specifies otherwise.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3059][#161634]
  14. With SpeedScreen Browser Acceleration enabled, image content of Web pages might appear blank in Internet Explorer.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3059][#162137]
  15. Internet Explorer might exit unexpectedly on SpeedScreenFilter.dll.
    [From PSE400R03W2K3059][#162516]
